The Sidney Eagle Speech, Debate and Drama team travelled to East Helena for Eastern A Divisionals competing against 10 schools. Sidney had 18 competitors and every single one qualified for state. The Drama Team placed 3rd. Speech and Debate placed 6th.
Senior and team captain Cedar Hovde helped lead the Drama team to 3rd place by entering in two separate events, Humorous solo and Humorous Theatre.

Humorous Theatre: 6th, Cedar Hovde & Brooke Watson.
Pantomime: 2nd, Emma Pust; 3rd, Ian Pust; 7th, Whisper Enriquez.
Drama Solo: Qualifier for state Tyler Frandsen and Sophie Pust.
Speech Results:
Extemporaneous: 2nd, Keaton Burke; 4th, Elicia Snodgrass.
Informative: 3rd, Mason Quick; 6th, Signe Halvorson.
Original Oratory: 5th, Tytus Carter; Qualifier for state Robert Knotts.
Debate Results:

Public Forum: 5th, Zander Capwell and Aaron Dominguez Valdez.
The team heads to Laurel for state on Thursday, Jan. 30.
