Is Your Will Useless? – Estate Planning Workshop, Feb. 11

Do you know when your Will is effective and when it isn’t? If you don’t have a Will, do you agree with Montana’s list of priority heirs? Are those who you want to receive your hard-earned assets? Dr. Marsha A. Goetting, MSU Extension Family Economics Specialist will give you tips about making sure your Will does what you want it to. That is, if you have one. If you don’t have a Will, then she will explain who receives your assets and how you are letting Montana law decide for you. Additionally, Marsha will discuss topics important to agriculture producers including land and livestock brand transfers, stepped up and carry over basis, and the federal estate tax exemption that sunsets in 2025.

Plan to join us at the Richland County Extension Office, 1499 N Central Ave, Sidney, MT, on Tuesday, Feb. 11th at 5:30 p.m. for this workshop. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to participate in Marsha’s workshop.
