Weeks Named Tri-County Regional Development Council New Executive Director

Tri-County Regional Development Council voted at their October meeting to promote Cyrena Weeks to the executive director position effective Dec. 1, 2024.

Weeks, will take over for Everette Enno, who has been at TCRDC for 22 years, 18 years as the executive director.

Weeks, born and raised in Williston spent 10 years in Bismarck working for the State of North Dakota in Workforce Development and Economic Development and Finance and a variety of other leadership positions, and even working a 1,000 head milking operation in Milnor, ND.

In 2008, she and her family moved back to Williston to be closer to parents and family.

"It was exciting to move back home in 2008 when the oil boom was taking off again, watching my small town grow into what we are currently. I've had the pleasure of seeing infrastructure develop in areas of town that were just dirt fields and enjoy all that the Bakken Formation has brought to Williston."

In 2021, she was employed as the Economic Recovery Coordinator at TCRDC, and has since obtained her bachelors in business administration from Grand Canyon University.

Cyrena has two sons; Ben, who attends Williston State College and Chris, who lives in Spearfish, SD, with his wife, Amber and Cyrena's first grandchild, Emery.

"I'm thrilled about the opportunities in this new role - helping Williams, McKenzie, and Divide counties to grow and prosper."

Tri-County Regional Development Council is one of eight regional councils in North Dakota. Created through legislation in 1988. TCRDC provides assistance to public and private sectors, helping them to utilize federal and state programs.

Weeks is also a Small Business Development Center business advisor and eagerly looks forward to meeting with clients and assisting entrepreneurs to realize their dreams.
