History and Nature Lecture Series

This series explores the diverse history and natural environment of Western North Dakota, offering a platform for reenactors, historians, and nature enthusiasts to learn about the region’s past and ecosystems. Topics include the Indian Wars, frontier life, ecology, archaeology, and paleontology. Participants can join as speakers or attendees, either in person or virtually.

Confluence Learning Lab

4th Saturday of every month, 2-3 p.m. CT

Beginning Feb. 22, March 22, April 26, May 24

This educational program is designed for children of all ages to explore history and nature through interactive learning. Each session covers topics such as Ice Age animals, glaciers, STEAM subjects, regional history, and more, blending lectures with hands-on activities like crafts, games, and science experiments.

Timeless Traditions Workshop

1st Saturday of every month, 1-3 p.m. CT

Beginning March 1, April 5, May 3

This hands-on workshop teaches practical 19th-century frontier skills such as embroidery, quilting, butter-making, and basket weaving. Participants will learn the history behind each craft and create their own project during the session. This program is perfect for children and beginner adults eager to connect with history in a creative, tangible way.
