The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce invites its members and the public to its annual meeting on Jan. 15, at 12 p.m. at the Richland County Extension Office. The event will celebrate the Chamber’s achievements in 2024 and outline plans for an exciting year ahead.
A Vision for 2025
Chamber President Ryan Kopp will share the Chamber’s 2025 agenda, which includes the launch of a Downtown Master Plan. This initiative aims to revitalize Sidney’s downtown area, creating a vibrant environment for small businesses while attracting visitors and residents to the community hub. Funding proposals have been submitted to the Department of Commerce and Montana Main Street, emphasizing economic development, traffic management, and space utilization.
A Successful 2024
The Chamber had a strong 2024, with membership increasing by 28%. Throughout the year, the organization hosted numerous events and programs designed to boost the local economy and build community connections.
Highlights included the Annual Banquet, where community leaders were honored, including Seitz Insurance as Partner in Progress and Jessica Chamberlin as Emerging Leader. The Chamber sustained key programs like Leadership Sidney, which engaged 20 participants in leadership development activities, and Community Power Hours, which tackled relevant local topics.
Annual events such as the MonDak Ag Days and Tradeshow, Sunrise City Slam, Fall Fest, and Magical Montana Christmas drew strong community participation. Additionally, new ventures like the Independence Day Fireworks Show and a partnership with Sidney Health Center for “Community is Stronger Than Cancer Day” added fresh energy to the Chamber’s calendar.
