Almost 200 Richland County residents have participated in the Richland County Economic Development Survey offered by REDC, in an effort to identify their most important priorities.
This undertaking was launched in December by REDC to create an economic diversification and a comprehensive economic development strategy. REDC hired KLJ Engineering to begin the work of gathering community and county wide input.
KLJ stated that in a county with a population like Richland County, roughly 11,000 people, if we were to get between 300-500 respondents, this would be a great representation of the people living here.
REDC took the survey out to the communities of Fairview, Lambert, Savage and Sidney and met with folks there. At the various meetings the quality information attained was deeply appreciated. The surveys are anonymous, and the information is being gathered by KLJ.
The survey can be found on REDC’s website at http://www.richlandeconomicdevelopment.com and will remain open and accessible until the end of business on Dec. 31, 2024. REDC is shy of our goal (between 300-500 respondents) so we encourage anyone who hasn’t taken the 10-question survey to please do so before the end of the month. We would truly like to hear from as many voices as possible.
