Richland Ranger Bantams Attend B-Dubs Shootout Tournament

The Richland Ranger Bantams took 2nd place this past weekend in the B-Dubs Shootout Tournament held in Grand Forks, ND.

Friday night in their first game of the tournament the Bantams faced the Roseau Bearcats, a team out of Minnesota. The Bantams started out the tournament strong with an 8-4 win.

Saturday would bring the Bantams two games. First, they faced West Fargo Stampede and dominated the ice with a 19-0 win. The second game on Saturday brought them up against another Minnesota team the Edina Hornets and end with 6-2 win for the Rangers and a trip to the semi-finals.

Sunday, the Rangers found themselves another two games. They started their day in the semi-finals face to face with the Hallock Rams out of Minnesota. The Rangers defeated Hallock 7-0 securing their place in the championship game. Their final game of the tournament brought them face to face with the Thief River Falls Prowlers. After a hard-fought game, the Rangers fell just short with a final score of 1-2. Rangers ended the tournament in 2nd place.

The Bantams ended the weekend with a total of 41 goals, and 29 assists. In net Paxton Berry face 140 shots and made an incredible 132 saves.

Up next the Bantams will travel to North Dakota for four league games against Mandan Mayhem and Bismarck Capitals.
