(Updated 12-20-24): Williams County Fatal Crash Dec. 13
A single vehicle crash occurred on Highway 1804 near MM 310. on Dec. 13, at approximately 6:42 a.m. CT.
A 2011 Ford F-150 being driven by a Clyde Petty, Williston ND, was traveling westbound on Highway 1804. The F-150 left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The F-150 then vaulted over a field approach and came to rest upright. Clyde Petty sustained injuries from the crash and was transported to CHI St. Alexis Hospital, Williston, and was later transferred to Sanford Hospital, Bismarck.
Clyde Petty passed away due to the injuries sustained in the crash on Monday Dec. 16, 2024.
The agencies who responded to the crash were North Dakota Highway Patrol, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williston Ambulance and Williston Fire Department.
At the time of the crash the roads were dry and good and the weather was clear and dark.
The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.

A 2011 Ford F-150 being driven by a 66-year-old male, Williston ND, was traveling westbound on Highway 1804. The F-150 left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The F-150 then vaulted over a field approach and came to rest upright. The 66-year-old male sustained injuries from the crash and was transported to CHI St. Alexis Hospital in Williston and was later transferred to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.
On Monday December 16, 2024, the 66-year-old man passed away due to the injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP. The name will be released upon notification of next of kin.
