Montana State University Extension is excited to present the Cattle Academy conference in Miles City, MT, Nov. 19-20. Cattle Academy is a regional educational conference that brings together beef cattle producers with the professionals who support them. Cattle Academy aims to educate producers on timely topics, current research from state Extension programs and industry leaders, and innovative technology that relates to beef production and management.
The two-day event is packed with great speakers and topics including Calving Challenges with Dr. Katie Rein and Stella the life-sized cow and calf simulator; Beef Market Outlook; Beef Quality Assurance Certification; Cover Crops and Bale Grazing; Setting Up Newborn Calves for Success; Vitamin A; Range Management; Livestock Water Quality; Optimizing Percent Calf Crop; Estate Planning; and Heifer Development. The Conference will conclude with a dinner and keynote speaker, Taylor Brown from the Northern Broadcasting System.
