No. 1 Fairview beat Ekalaka 41-16 to remain undefeated and clinch their second consecutive division championship and third in last four years.
Tyler Loan threw three touchdown passes and Troy Karst scored three times. Loan hit Karst from 36-yard to open the scoring and Wyatt McPherson quickly followed with a 31-yard run. Karst scored again in the first on a 43-yard run pushing the score to 21-0 at the end of the first period.
In the second quarter, Loan added two more touchdown passes, a 34-yarder to Deacon Gackle and a 54-yarder to Karst, extending the lead to 35-0 at the half.
Another short run by McPherson to open the third quarter made the score 41-0. Ekalaka scored twice in the fourth quarter against the Warrior JV squad. 8-0
Fairview will play Wibaux on Friday for Senior Night.
