#1 Ranked Fairview Warriors Out Score Scobey Spartans 28-20

The #1 ranked Fairview Warriors played the 4-2 Scobey Spartans at Starr Field, Fairview, Friday night.

The Warriors scored twice in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead. They followed up with a touchdown scoring drive to finish the half after a defensive stand with Keegan Skogas causing a fumble at the 1-yard line. Unfortunately, a snap over Loan's head sailed out of the end zone resulting in a safety making the score 21-2 at halftime.

Both teams exchanged scores in the third quarter but Scobey scored another to close the gap to 28-14. The score remained the same until the last drive by Scobey resulted in a touchdown pulling them within one score. At 28-20 the Spartans needed the onside kick for a chance to win. The kick was not successful and the Warriors once again came out victorious in a close game.

Tyler Loan had two touchdown passes, one to Skogas and one to Deacon Gackle. He also ran for a touchdown. Wyatt McPherson added a touchdown and a two-point conversion. Skogas and Jaden Murphy had excellent games on defense, leading the team in tackles.

The Warriors are now 7-0 and play at Ekalaka on Friday night.
