The Sidney Eagle Cross Country team was split up for two different meets on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Four runners were in Missoula at the Mountain West Meet. In the Boys division, Carter Heggum placed 85th in over 400 runners with the time of 17:7.3. Dyson Romo placed 286 with the time of 19:05.5. In the girls’ division, Ryleigh Kleinke placed 115th running 21:28.5 and Morgan Kindopp placed 236th running 23:12.5.
The rest of the cross-country team had some great results in Plentywood. Layla Petrik was sixth in the varsity girls, and was only five seconds off from making the Eagle “Mighty Dozen All-Time” leaderboard. The boys were led by Josh Pollari, who placed under 20 for the first time this season. The middle school girls took first place as a team, and were led by Camryn Franck, who placed 1st in the individual and Kenzie Koch, who placed 2nd. The middle school boys team took 5th place and were led by Garrick Halvorson, who placed 8th.
