Ex-Griz Assistant Coach Schillinger, Hired To Lead 2024-25 Sidney Eagle Football Team

The new Sidney head football coach, Jace Schillinger, grew up playing sports in Baker, MT. He graduated high school in 2000.  From there, he played football while attending Dickinson State University, graduating in 2005. His coaching career began at Billings Central, then led back to Dickinson State. He was the defensive line coach and track coach from 2006-2008. From there, he coached at Park High in Livingston before becoming the running backs coach at UND Grand Forks from 2009-2011.

Schillinger took a few years off of coaching and moved home to Baker where he enjoyed helping out with the local high school sports.

He still had the coaching bug, so from Baker, he moved back to Dickinson State to be the football offensive coordinator and head track coach. During the 2018-2020 college football season he was the tight end coach at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Jace is enjoying coaching in Sidney. "Things are going well. I feel this team has had decent summer buy-in. They are slowly buying-in to our coaching style. Players have been involved in the weight room, which is going to be a huge benefit. We held a summer camp that was for grades 4-8 and also a high school camp. I'm really looking forward to this season. Go Eagles!"
