Sidney's success can be credited with hard work, and long-time coach Ben Berg. Berg has been involved in coaching the Eagles Golf team for over 10 years. He has enjoyed seeing the program build over time. "Last year the girls went to state, and I am excited that we have 3 returning girls off that team. The girls are searching for a fourth and fifth player right now, but with the experience we have back, I believe we have a good chance of qualifying for state again this year. Our boys just missed out on qualifying for state last year and we are hoping with four returning members, our chances are good for a successful season this year." said Berg.

The team is excited to travel for their season. This year, they have 23 kids out for golf. There are 9 girls and 14 boys. There are four returning varsity boys, three returning varsity girls, along with three 8th grade boys, one 8th grade girl, and 2 freshman boys joining the team this year.

The divisional tournament will be held in Laurel this year and the state tournament is in Polson. "We have a good crew of kids coming back. They have played a lot of golf this summer, and it makes things easy." said Berg.
