Dianne Etzel, 64, Sidney, MT

Funeral services for Dianne Etzel, Sidney, MT, were Saturday, Aug.10, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Savage, MT, with Pastor Tim Tharp officiating. Dianne will be laid to rest in the Riverview Cemetery, Savage, MT. Heavy refreshments will follow the burial back at the church for a time of fellowship and sharing. Visitation was Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Fulkerson Stevenson Memorial Chapel, Sidney, MT. A family and friends service was held Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Savage, MT.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dianne's name to the Foundation for Community Care, Richland County Christmas Coalition ("Gifts from the Heart"), or First Lutheran Church, Savage. Dianne Kay Etzel was born on Jan. 14, 1960, in Glendive, MT, to Robert Sr. & Norma (Lange) Etzel. She attended Savage Public School, graduating in 1978. She attended one year of college at Montana State University in Bozeman.

In 1979, she started her lifelong career in banking at First National Bank of Glendive, MT and later she moved to Sidney, MT, where she started her 43-year career with Richland National Bank & Trust, now known as Stockman Bank.

She was a confirmed, active member of the First Lutheran Church, Savage. Dianne was also an active member in various organizations including the Richland County Christmas Coalition "Gifts from the Heart", Foundation for Community Care Wine & Food Festival, the Adult Literacy Program, the Sidney Chapter of the American Sewing Guild as well as many other organizations. She had recently been named treasurer of the Savage Cemetery Association.

Dianne had a huge heart. She loved to serve others. She put others before herself. She was the one that stayed in contact with family members far and wide and never missed a family event.

Dianne passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, in Sidney, Montana. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Dianne is survived by brothers Bob Jr., Hazen, ND; and Ron, Savage, MT; sisters Deb Peck (Raleigh), Sidney, MT; and Karn Magone (Michael) Billings, MT; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she treated as her own.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sr., and her mother, Norma.
