"Preserving Our Past, Building Our Future" Roosevelt Co. Fair Theme For Aug. 6-9

“Preserving Our Past, Building Our Future” has been the chosen theme for the 2024 Roosevelt County Fair scheduled for Tuesday-Friday, Aug. 6-9 at the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds, Culbertson, MT.

The fair opens Tuesday, Aug. 6 with the Youth Horse Show at the Saddle Club Grounds at 9 a.m.

The fair officially opens Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. with a special stage show. The Lego Contest follows up at 2 p.m., Kid’s Farmer’s Market at 4 p.m. and Kid’s Money in the Straw at 5 p.m. A small animal show will be held in the arena at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. is the Team/Family Puzzle Contest, followed by the Magic of Circus Show and culminating with a Youth Dance and Games from 7:45-10 p.m.

Thursday is “Vintage Day” starting at 3 p.m. with Pattycakes the Clown stage show and again appearing at 7:30 p.m. The Goat and Sheep Livestock Show is at 4 p.m. and the Vintage Car and Antique Tractor Show with a Farmer’s Market will be from 4-7 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., a free corn feed will be held along with the FFA Alumni Scholarship Barbecue ($15). Dog races and a Stick Horse plus Inflatable Rodeo is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 6 the fair opens at 8:30 a.m. with the Swine and Cattle Show. PeeWee Show to follow. From 11 a.m.-4 p.m. there will be fun contests and activities throughout the day. Featured at 2:30 p.m., will be the parade of Exhibits to the Roosevelt Medical Center patio. The Round Robin Showmanship is at 4 p.m. followed by another free meal, sponsored by the Culbertson Chamber of Commerce.

Be sure to attend the 4-H/FFA Livestock and Small Animal Auction at 6 p.m. and the live entertainment with Adam Calvert at 7 p.m.

Saturday, a Ranch Rodeo Calcutta starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Saddle Club grounds.
