This July Celebrate "Where You Belong" With Watford City Parks & Recreation

Watford City, ND - This July, join Watford City Parks & Recreation for Park & Recreation Month, as we celebrate how Watford City is a stronger, more vibrant community because of parks and recreation.

Watford City Parks & Recreation is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), by inviting our community to share their experiences and tell us how Parks and Recreation has positively impacted their life.

Krystal Picklesimer, Watford City Parks & Recreation recreation manager, stated “NRPA’s theme for Park and Recreation Month is “Where You Belong”, and we believe that’s very representative of the mission of Watford City Parks & Rec. From our youth sports leagues to STEAM camps and more, along with our incredible variety of parks, we strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for all segments of our community, and hopefully they feel like they’re included and represented through our programming and in our spaces.”

NRPA and Watford City Parks & Recreation encourages everyone who supports park and recreation to share how it has fostered belonging, as well as why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them, on social media with #WhereYouBelong.

Watford City Parks & Recreation is actively planning a variety of interactive activities for July that will encourage the community to get out and enjoy our vast network of parks and playgrounds, and encourages everyone to follow their social media accounts for more information.
