Tombre Receives Carolyn Grace Prigan-Neckels Scholarship

Cade Tombre, Savage, has been named valedictorian of the 2024 Savage High School senior class and the Carolyn Grace Prigan-Neckels Memorial Scholarship recipient. The scholarship was created to honor a Savage High School graduate who has exemplified an unwavering commitment in their pursuit of academic excellence. The scholarship was created in memory of Carolyn Prigan-Neckels, Savage High School class valedictorian of 1962, passionate about education and supporting young people.

Tombre, the son of Tyler and Chandi Tombre, will receive the $1,000 award recognizing and encouraging students who achieve exceptional academic achievements and leadership qualities.  Tombre has excelled academically and is a three-sport athlete at Savage High School. He earned Academic All-State in all three sports all four years of high school and was National Honor Society President. Recently, he was one of six male athletes nominated for Richland County's 2024 Male Athlete of the Year. He was named to the second-team All-Conference basketball team, earned second-team all-defensive honors in basketball, and qualified for three events for State in track. He earned both All-Conference and All-State football honors in six-man football. Cade played in the 2024 All-Star Game, earning MVP Defensive Player. He also broke three individual school records with tackles in a game, tackles in a season, and rushing touchdowns in a game.

Tombre's remarkable achievements, both in academic records and extracurricular activities, demonstrated his commitment to excellence and to positively impacting the communities.

Reach Higher Montana and the Carolyn Grace Prigan-Neckels Scholarship are incredibly proud of the academic caliber and student leadership showcased by this year's scholarship recipient. He will attend Rocky Mountain College this fall to play football while earning his business degree.
