Watford City - Over the last 15 years, Watford City has experienced tremendous growth due to Bakken oil and natural gas extraction. Now, with a Rural Facility Planning Grant from the ND Department of Commerce, we’re creating a redevelopment plan for three underutilized areas to attract investment, expand our tax base and improve infrastructure and amenities.
