Summer Soiree June 29 In Savage

The Burns Creek Inn, Savage, presents the Savage Summer Soiree Saturday, June 29, a full day of outdoor food, drinks, games and live music.

Start the day with the cornhole tournament at Maschera Park (across from BCI) hosted by Savage, Inc. Two-person teams will compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. Warm-ups are at 9 a.m. with the double elimination tournament starting at 10 a.m. Cost is $40 per team with proceeds going to improve the town of Savage. To inaugurate the new outdoor basketball court in Savage, the Savage Industrial Technology Program (shop) and Burns Creek Inn will host the Warrior Co-Ed 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Brackets are ages 8 to 13, 14 to 18 and 19 and older. Each bracket will allow up to four players per team and cost to enter is $40. Burgers, hot dogs and beverages will be available court side.

Warm-ups are from 2:30-3 p.m. with games starting at 3 p.m. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 in each age bracket. Register in person at the Burns Creek Inn or go to their Facebook page. Proceeds from the tournament will go to the Savage Industrial Technology Program to help purchase higher grade equipment, and to provide smaller supplies so that students don’t have to.

Finish off the day with terrific music by Judd Burman, Kyle Welnel and Midlife Crisis starting at 7 p.m. All ages are welcome until 10 p.m.
