Red Rock Auto, Watford City, is the first in McKenzie County to install a Level 3 EV charging station, which is the market's quickest, most powerful EV charging option, with phase 3 electricity meaning quicker charging for your electric vehicle. And, the service is free.
The 3-phase electricity supply offers up to 480 volts resulting in charging times of only 15-55 minutes, depending on the vehicle.
General manager Cody Johnson stated that although the primary focus at Red Rock Auto is still on combustion vehicles, they have sold a handful of EVs so far and this charging station is a benefit to the customers.
