Culbertson Saddle Club's 61st Frontier Days Rodeo Set For June 7-8

The 61st Annual Frontier Days Rodeo this year is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, June 7-8 at the Saddle Club arena. Rodeo action starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday and at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Friday closes with a dance at the Stagecoach Casino at 9 p.m.

Saturday morning’s events start with a Fireman’s breakfast at the school from 7 a.m.-10:30 a.m., followed by the parade on Main Street at noon and the Women’s Club meal on Main Street from noon-1 p.m. Beer gardens and beef cheddar sandwiches next to the old Armory. Root beer floats will be served at the Culbertson Museum from 12:30-2 p.m.

The Saturday night rodeo begins at 7 p.m. at the Saddle Club arena. Featured events both nights are bull riding, bareback, calf roping, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, ladies’ breakaway, Jr. barrels & Jr. breakaway, wild calf race and Sr. men’s breakaway. Estimated purse is $20,000. Dance at the Saddle Club barn at 9 p.m.

Enjoy breakfast at the museum from 7-11 a.m. on Sunday.
