Savage's boys' track team accounted for 69 points to grab third place at the Fairview Invitational on May 1. Savage's girls ran to 71 points at the meet.
Zane Pilgeram led the attack for Savage's boys as he earned first place in the triple jump at 39-5, second in the long jump at 19-1 and second in the high jump at 5-10.
In the pole vault, Sayer Erickson cleared 11-0 for second place and Adden Erickson cleared 8-0 for third place. S. Erickson had a mark of 139-0 for third place in the javelin.
Cade Tombre ran the 400 in 55.98 seconds for second place. Jack DaBill took third in the 800 at 2:16.14.
The 1600-meter relay team of DaBill, S. Erickson, Tombre and Pilgeram finished third at 3:57.16.
Tombre took sixth in the shot put at 37-8.
Savage's girls didn't run their standout sprinters in individual races, but the Warriors still enjoyed success at the meet.
Brooke Reuter earned first in the long jump at 16-6 and first in the triple jump at 33-10. Mylee Reuter ran the 3200-meter in 13:32.45 for top honors.
The 400-meter relay team featuring Cambry Conradsen, Miley Pilgeram, M. Reuter and B. Reuter finished first at 52.12 seconds.
Placing in the pole vault were M. Reuter in second at 7-6, Brooke Skov in third at 7-0 and Matilda Verhasselt in fifth at 6-6. KD Lyons had a best of 30-1 for fifth place in the triple jump and a mark of 84-9 for sixth in the javelin. Miley Pilgeram took fourth in the javelin at 84-9 and sixth in the shot put at 28-1.
Karley Verhasselt earned third in the discus with a mark of 87-6. M. Verhasselt was sixth in the high jump by clearing 4-6.
