Fairview Piles Up Points At Home Track Meet

Fairview's boys' track team took first place and Fairview's girls placed second at the Fairview Invitational held on Wednesday, May 1.

The Warriors accounted for 97 points for top honors in the boys' division. Richardton/Taylor took second with 80 and Savage was third with 69 points.

In the girls' division, Richardton/Taylor earned first with 102 points followed by Fairview with 92 and Richey/Lambert with 77 points.

Fairview's Deacon Gackle earned first in the discus with a best of 148-4.

Both of Fairview's boys' relay teams finished first. The 400-meter relay of Curt Rice, Ryan Lustig, Troy Karst and Tyler Loan took first at 45.96 seconds. The 1600-meter team of Gackle, Lustig, Loan and Karst placed first at 3:50.39.

Tyler Loan finished second in the 100 at 12.26 and second in the 200 at 24.28. Rice took second in the 300-meter hurdles at 45.51 seconds.

Placing third were Jaxon Vitt in the long jump at 17-11 and 100 at 12.27, Karst in the 200 at 24.59, Landen Thompson in the shot put at 40-10 and Rice in the 110-meter hurdles at 18.53 seconds.

Karst placed fourth in the 100 at 12.33 seconds. Grant Knapp finished fourth in the 1600 at 5:28.59. Also placing fourth were Brock Schlothauer at 138-11 in the javelin and Gordon Knapp by clearing 7-0 in the pole vault.

Taking fifth were Vitt by clearing 5-6 in the high jump and Gackle with a mark of 38-8 in the shot put. Placing sixth were Knapp at 2:33.26 in the 800, and the 1600-meter relay team of Rice, Knapp, Bridger Free and Schlothauer at 4:07.78.

Kallee Hopes led Fairview's girls by earning first in the 400 at 1:04.16 and first in the discus with a mark of 90-10. Hopes added a second-place showing in the shot put at 32-9.

Kambre Kloker cleared 9-6 for first place in the pole vault. She took third in the long jump at 15-11.

Carly Buxbaum was second in the 100 at 13.95 and fourth in the 200 at 28.13. Averi Riedel placed third in the 100 at 13.96 and sixth in the 200 at 28.85. Hopes took fifth in the 200 at 28.21.

Brooklyn Anderson finished second in the 1600 at 6:23.45 and sixth in the 800 at 2:51.70. Brailey Anderson was fourth in the 1600 at 6:31.48.

Kynlee Vitt cleared 4-8 for fourth place in the high jump. Karlee Nay placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 59.32 seconds.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Riedel, Buxbaum, Vitt and Hopes took second at 52.32 seconds.
