District 2-C athletes fared well by earning top four recognition in events during the Top 10 track meet held in Glasgow on April 29.
Savage’s Brooke Reuter came away with first-place honors in the 100 at 12.63 and 200 at 25.59. The senior also placed second in the long jump at 17-5 and third in the triple jump at 33-8.
Plentywood’s Mallory Tommerup earned first in the triple jump at 35-0 and first in the long jump at 17-9. Plentywood’s Audrey Sampson cleared 5-4 in the high jump.
Savage’s Cambry Conradsen placed third in the 100 at 12.81 seconds and third in the 200 at 26.42 seconds.
Culbertson’s Destiny Thompson had a best of 111-10 in the javelin to earn third place.
Bainville’s Elsie Wilson enjoyed a strong Top 10 meet. The junior placed fourth in the long jump at 16-8 and fourth in the triple jump at 33-5.
Bainville’s Hailey Berwick finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:01.78.
Savage’s freshman Mylee Reuter took fourth in the 800 at 2:34.88.
Savage’s girls’ 1600-meter relay team featuring Conradsen, B. Reuter, M. Reuter and Matilda Verhasselt finished second at 4:13.76.
In the boys’ division, Froid/Lake’s Mason Dethman finished third in the 400 with a personal best time of 52.9 seconds.
Bainville’s Samuel Butikofer cleared 6-0 for fourth place in the high jump.
Plentywood’s Carson Solberg took fourth in the javelin at 145-5.
Culbertson’s freshman Plenny Williams just missed qualifying for the awards’ stand as he had a best of 137-6 in the discus for fifth place.
