The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture has reached a milestone with the announcement that Sidney has regained state status as a Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). The news means some additional funding for Sidney to market its large number of events throughout the year.
“It helps with our marketing,” Kali Godfrey, executive director of the Sidney Chamber, said. In order to reach CVB status, a community needs to have more than $160,000 in annual gross lodging tax revenue.
