The Fairview and Savage track squads enjoyed strong performance at the Baker Invitational held on Saturday.
Fairview placed third in the boys' team standings with 52 points and placed seventh in the girls' standings with 30 points. Savage's girls earned third with 65 points and scored nine points in the boys' division.
Fairview's Jeffery Tjelde finished first in the 400 with a time of 52.77 seconds. Tyler Loan placed second in the 100 at 11.68 seconds and took fourth in the 200 at 24.0 seconds. Troy Karst took sixth in the 200 at 24.27 and seventh in the 100 at 12.02.
Jaxon Vitt placed third in the long jump at 19-9 and ninth in the high jump at 5-6.
Deacon Gackle earned fourth place in the discus with a mark of 133-7. Gackle took sixth in the shot put at 39-9. Landon Thompson was seventh in the shot at 39-1.
Fairview's boys' 1600-meter relay team of Ryan Lustig, Karst, Loan and Tjelde finished first with a time of 3.42.60. The 400-meter relay team of Curt Rice, Lustig, Vitt and Loan placed second at 45.73 seconds.
In the girls' division, Kambre Kloker placed second in the pole vault at 9-6 and fourth in the long jump at 16-7. Kailee Hopes ran the 400 in 66.67 for third place. Averi Riedle finished sixth at 68.58.
Carly Buxbaum earned fourth place in the triple jump with a mark of 30-9. Kynlee Vitt cleared 4-8 for fifth place in the high jump. Riedel cleared 6-6 for eighth place in the pole vault.
Riedel took seventh and Buxbaum was eighth in the 100. Vitt placed eighth in the 200 and Brookyln Anderson was 10th in the 1600.
Fairview's girls' 400 meter relay team consisting of Riedel, Buxbaum, Hopes and Vitt finished third at 52.04 seconds.
Savage's girls were led by Brooke Reuter who earned first in the 100 at 12.52, 200 at 25.71 and triple jump at 34-3.
Miley Pilgeram captured first in the javelin at 100-0. KD Lyons placed sixth in the event at 79-2.
Cambry Conradsen placed second in the 100 at 12.7 and third in the long jump at 16-10. Mylee Reuter finished fifth in the 800 at 2:38.2.
Placing seventh were Lyons in the triple jump and Mylee Reuter in the pole vault. Matilda Verhasselt took ninth in the high jump and 800.
Savage's girls' 400-meter team of Conradsen, B. Reuter, M. Reuter and Verhasselt placed second at 51.72 seconds.
On the boys' side, Sayer Erickson cleared 11-0 for fourth place in the pole vault. Adden Erickson cleared 7-6 for ninth place.
Cade Tombre took sixth in the javelin and 10th in the 200. Savage's boys' 1600-meter relay team of S. Erickson, Jack DaBill, Cade Tombre and Jaeger Tombre placed fourth at 3:57.17.
