Nancy was born on May 28,1963 to Reyes and Audrey (Quick) Munoz, Sidney, MT. She attended grade school and high school in Sidney, graduating in 1981. Shortly after graduating, she married the love of her life, Jim Herkimer on July 19,1981 in Sidney, MT. They resided in Sidney for a short time before moving to Fairview in 1993. Nancy worked at Cenex, Super Valu and the Fairview School over the years. She eventually found her calling and love of cooking for others at the Waterhole #3 where she was employed until she was no longer able to work.
Nancy was a hard worker and gave her all into everything she did. She was soft-spoken, kindhearted and a friend to everyone. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as a good book and a hot bath. Nancy also enjoyed going on camping trips to the Bighorn Mountains with Jim every chance they got. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren but had a special bond with Praxton for their shared love for all things WWE.
In 2022, Nancy was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS (PPMS) and breast cancer. She was able to fight off the breast cancer successfully, however, the symptoms from her PPMS progressively got worse.
Nancy passed away surrounded by family on March 30, 2024, at the Sidney Health Center, Sidney, MT.
