Our Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and friend left this existence for the next. She left a legacy of love.
Being the first born of Richard Propp and Edith (Davis) Holt, she was a true delight. She grew up north of Sidney and attended Sidney schools. Being a farm girl helping with the chores wasn't her forte. Shortly after graduation, the ink barely dry on her diploma, she was off to Billings to the Coiffure Art Beauty School. Afterwards she plied her trade in Billings and Sidney. On July 6, 1991, her son, Jonathan was born. What a proud mother she was!
Dalaine decided she needed a better job and education and off again this time to Great Falls University in 1993. Her associates, bachelors and finally a double masters' degrees led to two very rewarding jobs for her. Her work with the underserved and underprivileged gave her much satisfaction.
In the past few years, she had been dealing with crippling degenerative bone disease compounded by heart and kidney abnormalities.
Dalaine left us unexpectedly at her home in Great Falls.
Left to mourn are her son, Jon, Missoula; sisters: Stacey Propp, Sun Prairie, WI; Candice Zipler (Harley), Rawlins, WY. Brothers: Trenlin Propp (Jami), Sidney; D.J. Holt, (Leslee) Sidney, Her dad, Richard (Debbi), Sidney; and Mom, Edith (Don) Holt, Sidney. Many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents, 2 nephews, Therin Zipler and Joseph Smith, several uncles and 3 special fur babies: Bastet, Shadow, Sapphire.
"Honor her for all her hands have done, and let her works bring her praised at the heavenly gate." Proverbs 31:31.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Sidney, April 12 at 5 p.m. beginning with a light supper. We'll have a time of sharing and her favorite karaoke to follow. Please bring memories to share with the family.
