Long X Arts Gallery Featuring Prairie Rose Quilt Show Now-May 3

Discover the craftsmanship of McKenzie County's most talented quilters at the Prairie Rose Quilt Show on now through May 3 at Long X Arts Gallery, Watford City. Fifty-eight quilts are on display, all works of art.

Yvonne Hollenbeck, South Dakota quilter, cowgirl poet and entertainer will be the star attraction at an Open House on Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT. Her presentation takes place at 2 p.m., featuring her collection of family quilts spanning 140 years, plus her own prize-winning creations.

The Prairie Rose Quilters Guild was started in 1986 and has 25 active members of all ages. They meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason's the third Monday of each month from September through May where they love teaching and learning from each other. New quilters are always welcome.

The Long X Arts Gallery, 100 2nd Ave. SW, Watford City, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to take this opportunity to view all the beautiful quilts and Hollenbeck's presentation which is guaranteed to be delightful. Admission to the museum as well as Hollenbeck's presentation are free of charge.
