The Sidney Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred during the early morning hours on both Saturday and Sunday (March 2 and 3) in the southeast area of town. These incidents seem to be a crime of opportunity as the perpetrator is checking vehicles and stealing from those found to be unlocked.
Anyone who believes they are a victim of a crime is urged to report the incident as soon as possible.
The Sidney Police Department urges residents to please lock up their vehicles and make sure any valuables are removed or securely stored.
