Bainville native, Kara Triplett, has been selected the overall athletic director of the year by the Montana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Triplett is the Richey/Lambert athletic director. She is also the Montana High School Association Class C representative.
The MIAAA is an organization that represents all 182 Montana High School Association member school's athletic directors. Each year, the statewide organization recognizes an athletic director of the year in each of the four classifications as well as an overall recipient.
These individuals are nominated by their peers and the award winners are then voted on and approved by the MIAAA executive board. The announcement and presentation of these awards occur every January during the MIAAA Annual Meeting held in conjunction with the Montana High School Association's annual meetings.
This year's classification winners were Class AA - Chuck Merrifield (Butte High), Class A - Mike Ryan (Billings Central), Class B - Brendan Miller (Lincoln County) and Class C - Greg Sager (Shields Valley).
