Waterhole #3 Has New Owner

Judd Burman fulfilled his childhood dream of owning a bar when he purchased the Waterhole #3 and Oasis Casino in Fairview on April 20, 2023.

“I’ve always wanted to own a bar, ever since I was a little kid,” Burman said. “I didn’t want to be a lawyer or a doctor, I just wanted to own a bar.”

The Fairview native is very proud of the bar he purchased and encourages everyone to stop in. “It’s a beautiful bar. Anyone who hasn’t been in for a while really needs to come and see it.”

Although Burman is now a full-time bar owner, he still relies on his great manager Kim Falkenhagen to run the day-to-day operations. Falkenhagen, along with the staff of 24 other individuals do their utmost to make everyone’s experience the best it can be whether in the Waterhole #3 or the Oasis Casino. “Kim runs the show,” Burman said. “I’m really happy with the current staff. I believe in the team concept and everyone is really buying into that.”

Both businesses are open 7 days a week from 11-2 a.m. Stop in for a tasty home cooked lunch featuring comfort food in these cold months. Service starts at 11 a.m. and ends when they run out, sometimes pretty early! Regional craft beers are among the 16 beers on tap, with those switched out often to provide customers with a great variety.

Burman has tried to have live music at least once a month. During their grand re-opening, “El Wencho” was the featured attraction and the hope is to have them back again soon. Always looking for fun, new ideas, Burman decided to have a New Years Eve party where party goers had a blast with chicken poop roulette and minnow races. Coming up on Feb. 3, the Waterhole #3 will have the honor of hosting Kyle Welnel’s solo debut.

There’s always something going on at the Waterhole #3. Monday nights feature dart league while Tuesdays are pool league nights. Trivia buffs can win $75 on Wednesday nights. Once pool is done, a short season of corn hole play will fill out March and April.

The Oasis Casino Anniversary is coming up on Jan. 17, with $1600 being given out throughout the day.

Burman expressed his deep gratitude to all those who have patronized his business in the past several months. “Thank you to all the regular clientele for sticking with us and all the new people who discovered the Waterhole #3 and Oasis Casino in the last 9 months,” he said.
