The Richland County Sports Complex has moved to a new building! They are now located in the old Cenex garage, next to Cooperative Western Choice. Up until August, they had been located at the fairgrounds. “The reason for the move was because this building has heat, has no dirt floor, and we had room to add a pickle-ball court,” said Chairman Terry Roth. “This gives an opportunity for more people to use our complex.”
The RCSC hours for the month of October are Tuesday 5-7 p.m., Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (pitch and catch for softball players), Thursday 5-7 p.m., and lessons and camps by appointment.
“Stop in during our open hours, or call me at 406-489-3285 with any questions. We also have a Facebook page,” said Roth.
The fee to use the complex is $5 a day, or $30 a month. Currently they are having sign-ups for a pickle-ball league. The cost is $30 per player for the season.
The RCSC is also accepting sign-ups for a softball hitting camp that will be in December and January. Deadline to sign up is Oct. 15.
The Legion Baseball organization is also planning some camps for the future.
“All of the camps are free to the students. We do fund raisers to cover the cost,” said Roth. “The programs are going well, and we are thankful to our sponsors for their help.”
