The Williston Downtowners Annual Holiday Stroll is Friday, Dec. 8, from 5-8 p.m. The stroll has been going on for over 10 years and is a perfect time to get some Christmas shopping done while enjoying the music, art, and other sights that add to the atmosphere.
This annual three-hour event has been a mainstay for downtown Williston. This year it will consist of sales along the two blocks on Main St. from 4th Ave.-2nd Ave. The hot cocoa contest between participating businesses is back. There will be seven different entries for the contest this year. Carolers will be from the Williston High School Vocal Jazz ensemble and New Hope Church this year, and in the Downtown Plaza will be music provided by DMJ Productions.
The horse-drawn carriage rides are back but are dependent on fair weather as high winds, cold temperatures, or icy road conditions can be hazardous to the horses and their handlers.
The James Memorial will be having their art reception during the holiday stroll from 6-7:30 p.m. There will also be s’mores by the fire provided by Ranger Energy Services. Plus, they will have pictures with Santa taken by The Creative Dove for $5 for a digital copy, $10 for a 5x7, and $3 for extras. There will also be pop-up businesses, a hot cocoa kit station, and so much more!
Come join the downtown Williston businesses for their joyous celebration. Follow the Williston Downtowners Association on their Facebook page for more details on this night of festive fun, community spirit, and holiday cheer.
