Watford City – “Hoodies for Hunger”, in collaboration with the Watford City MobilePack and Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), is proud to announce its 3-day fundraising campaign kicking off on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28-30, dedicated to battling malnutrition in developing countries around the world. The campaign seeks to raise funds for the 5th Watford City MobilePack, where approximately 200,000 life-saving MannaPack meals will be packed at the Rough Rider Center on March 21-23, 2024.
In addition to financial support, “Hoodies for Hunger” plans to engage with local businesses for employee photo opportunities featuring super-sized “Hoodies for Hunger”. These engaging photo sessions will serve as a creative way for businesses to promote their involvement in the campaign. Business sponsorship of the campaign or allowing employees to participate by wearing hoodies for three days, not only contributes to a worthy cause but also showcases their commitment to social responsibility.
“Hoodies for Hunger” encourages businesses of all sizes to join hands in this impactful initiative, emphasizing that even the smallest contributions can make a significant difference. By supporting this campaign, businesses not only enhance their community presence but also contribute to creating a lasting positive impact on those facing abject global poverty.
The MannaPack meals, specially formulated by FMSC, are designed to meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children. Once packed, these meals will be distributed to impoverished communities in developing countries, providing a vital source of nutrition to combat malnutrition and support the health and well being of vulnerable populations.
Feed My Starving Children, the organization behind the MannaPack meals, is a non-profit that has been dedicated to eradicating hunger since 1987. With a mission to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit, FMSC mobilizes volunteers to pack nutritious meals that are sent to partners in nearly 70 countries worldwide. These meals play a crucial role in addressing the immediate nutritional needs of children and families facing extreme poverty and food insecurity.
“Hoodies for Hunger” encourages individuals and businesses alike to support this effort to combat malnutrition by participating in the 3-day hoodie-wearing campaign. Contributions made during the campaign will directly contribute to funding the Watford City MobilePack, ultimately saving lives and making a positive impact on communities, worldwide.
