AgCountry Farm Credit Services Awards McKenzie Health Benefit Fund $25,000

AgCountry Farm Credit Services is proud to announce that it has awarded the benefit fund of McKenzie Health $25,000 as a recipient of the Rural Community Grant Fund (RCGF). The grant funds will go towards purchasing mammography equipment.

Lynn Welker-Fevold, Benefit Fund of McKenzie Health, is pleased to accept the check and utilize the grant funds towards the purchase.

"AgCountry Farm Credit Services is proud to present grant funds that will go towards purchasing Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM) technology providing additional imaging options for breast cancer screening and evaluation," says David Hokanson, AgCountry Farm Credit Services VP branch manager. CEM would provide patients the opportunity to have state-of-the-art technology and exams performed locally to save them time and money as well as additional stress and anxiety of waiting to receive important medical information. "The CEM can also be used as a guide for surgery biopsy. Now they will have this important technology for improved patient care closer to home in their local community," Hokanson adds. AgCountry Farm Credit Services believes it's important to give back to the community.

AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of Mandan, and AgriBank, established the Rural Community Grant Fund to assist in the implementation and development of projects and programs in communities and rural areas in western North Dakota, which have been impacted by mineral exploration.

The Rural Community Grant Fund is currently accepting applications for future funding requests. Interested parties can apply at http://www.AgCountry.com.
