"Where the hell's Cartwright?". Those may have been some of the first words Will Berry's now wife said to him, but it's far from the first, or last time he's heard the question. Now it emblazons the back of the merchandise, designed by his wife Emily Berry, of Yellowstone Tactical; the firearm store tucked in the Badlands and hills that flank the Yellowstone River between Fairview, MT and Williston, ND, on ND Highway 200.
Yellowstone Station opened April 2022, with Yellowstone Tactical beginning operations by May. The unique store offers fuel, snacks, beverages, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, liquor, firearms, knives, ammunition, optics, a UPS ship station, and even a United States Post Office. They are passionate about bringing firearm education to the area, providing concealed carry, women specific, and other classes to the public. This Dec. 2, Yellowstone Tactical will host McKenzie County Deputy Dustin Newman for North Dakota concealed carry class 1 and 2 testing. The training and testing are open to any North Dakota residents, 18 and older, who can legally possess a firearm and pass a background check. To register, or for more information, Will can be contacted at [email protected].
Will and his associates continue to seek out services and products they feel will benefit their customers. He, Yellowstone Tactical's gunsmith Jim Boer, and Casey Schlothauer recently returned from White City, OR, as certified Cerakote applicators. Cerakote uses ceramic technology to impart a durable, corrosion resistant coating to firearms and other items. Once the Cerakote, which is available in a wide array of colors, is applied, it is then baked on for a factory caliber finish.
Another exciting expansion to Yellowstone Tactical is Yellowstone Rifle Company; their own line of rifles designed and assembled right in Cartwright, ND. Their goal is an heirloom quality rifle capable of lasting generations. Stocks imported from Norway have adjustable cheek and butt pieces, creating a custom experience for each handler. The rifles currently can be designed in-store, but online shoppers can access a billion dollars' worth of merchandise at http://www.yellowstonetactical.com. Yellowstone Tactical is also home to a silencer kiosk, where those interested can apply online and provide fingerprinting for the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) in one easy stop.
With the holidays approaching, Yellowstone Tactical will be participating in Browning's Holiday Rebate on gun safes and is happy to order what you, or the gun owner on your list, is wishing for. Whether it's gas and some food on the run, or you're looking for something to enhance your hunting and shooting experience, let Yellowstone Station, home of Yellowstone Tactical, meet your needs.
