MonDak Area Holiday Events

Halloween is over across the MonDak area, but the fun and tradition of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years is just a few short weeks away. There is so much to do that the events start well before Thanksgiving.

In Fairview, Friday, Nov. 10, there will be turkey bingo at East Fairview school at 6 p.m .; Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. the Silver Bells Craft and Vendor Show is at Fairview High School, and from 4-8 p.m.the Lighting of the Fairview Bridge and fireworks will be at Sundheim Park. Saturday, Nov. 25 the Fairview Community Foundation Festival of Trees and Wreaths will be at the Waterhole #3 starting at 3 p.m.

In Sidney, Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. there will be a Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. On Friday, Nov. 24 the Parade of Lights will start down Central Ave. at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 25, the Holiday Gala Music on Main at the Historic Yellowstone Mercantile Building will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Sidney-Richland County Library’s adult craft will be holiday cards at 4 p.m .; Friday, Dec 1, the St. Matthew’s Holiday Bazaar will be at St. Matthew’s parish center from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m .; and Friday, Dec. 22, A Hometown Holiday Benefit for Janaye Rayman (Brown) will be held at the Elks Lodge, starting at 6 p.m.

In Watford City, Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 5-10 p.m. there will be turkey bingo in the Watford City Middle School commons area and Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 4-8 p.m. the 17th Annual Holiday Extravaganza will be at the Veteran’s Memorial Building. Next on Saturday, Nov. 24, the Make it Merry parade and fireworks on 4th Ave. and Main St. starts at 6:30 p.m. The Magical Medora Christmas tour will be stopping at the Watford City High School at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29. On Friday, Dec 1, the Jingle Bell Jog Holiday Fun Run starts at 5:30 p.m .; Saturday, Dec. 2, a vintage ceramic Christmas tree class will be at the Long X Arts Foundation from 2-4 p.m .; and Christmas Fest will be held at the Rough Rider Center from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9,

In Williston, Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. there will be a Holiday Social at the Grand Williston Hotel and Saturday, Nov. 18, there will be a Christmas ornament wood burning class at Hansens Unlimited Crafter’s Mall at 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, there will be a Pedal for Pie event with Rhonda, from 6-7:30 a.m., and with Emily, 8-9:30 a.m., and Turkey Trot Fun Run at 8 a.m. all at the ARC. The Holiday Lights parade that goes from US Bank to Harmon Park starts at 6 p.m. Friday Nov. 24; and the Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive will go from Saturday, Nov. 25-Sunday, Dec. 31. Thursday, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, “A Christmas Carol” will be showing in the Old Armory at 1:45 p.m .; Saturday, Dec. 16 the Santa’s Workshop Craft and Vendor Show will be at the Raymond Family Community Center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

In Alexander the 3rd Annual Christmas Stroll on Elk St. will take place on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m.
