The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the Sidney Fall Festival scheduled for Oct. 14. This event is a big community shindig with multiple community organizations hosting the fun. The festivities include:
The Main Street Car and Bike Show presented by the Richland County Sportsmen’s Club features Judged categories and Non-Judged Showing Only categories. Your first judged entry is at a cost of $35 and all following judged entries get in for $15. Non-judged entries are displayed at a cost of $10/vehicle.
Local businesses will be hosting a slew of activities downtown including the grand opening of Studio 20’s new store front, which will feature mini colored hair extensions and a ribbon cutting. Other activities span to Meraki’s candle pour workshop, kids crafts at MT Bare Cave, recreational activities at High Caliber Sports, family photography mini sessions with Jordyn Melby Photography at the MERGE, walk-in pottery classes at the MonDak Heritage Center and live music sprinkled across downtown.
Several streets will be shut down for vendors, food trucks, a hay maze and pumpkin patch and live music.
The Sunrise Women’s Clinic’s Walk for Life – Conquer the Course will round off the afternoon with the 1 mile and 5k course starting at 3 p.m. Families, teams and individuals are encouraged to participate. Pre-register to guarantee a t-shirt on the Sidney Fall Festival website.
The MonDak Heritage Center will host MonDak Mayhem Lanter Tours – some mystery with your history – from 3 to 8 p.m. The Mayhem Tours are living history events where attendees can meet characters of past and hear true stories of MonDak mayhem. Tours are scheduled in 20-minute blocks and tickets can be purchased on the Sidney Fall Festival website. Special rates apply to MonDak Heritage Center members and children!
Sidney High School’s Speech and Drama Team will present a production of “Dracula” at the Sidney Middle School at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.
Finally, the Cattle-ac will host the Sidney Fall Festival after party with live music from the local band, “the Relics.”
