The Fairview Warriors traveled to Wibaux to play the #5 ranked Longhorns on a Saturday afternoon. After an early fumble, the Warriors rebounded by jumping out to a first quarter 14-0 lead on a 20-yard Tyler Loan run and a 33-yard Jeff Tjelde pass to Jaxon Vitt.
The second quarter was more of the same as Wyatt McPherson ran in a 27-yard touchdown followed by 3 more touchdown runs by Loan from 9, 45, and 41-yards respectively giving the Warriors a 39-0 lead at the half. A one play 65-yard dash by Brock Schlothauer to start the third quarter pushed the score to 46-0. Schlothauer scored again a few minutes later from 25 yards out to make the score 52-0.
Wibaux scored once in the fourth quarter against the Fairview JV squad making the final score 52-8. Schlothauer stood out on the defensive side of the ball, too, recording 15 total tackles.
Offensively, Fairview ran 30 plays for 474 yards, 405 rushing, and 8 TDs.
The Warriors will celebrate senior night on Saturday against the Culbertson Cowboys.
