Ruth passed away quietly at the age of 101. We greatly miss her already and celebrate her wonderful life which radiated kindness, peace, and trust in God.

She was born at home in Toronto, Ontario on June 19, 1922, received her education in Toronto and worked at Evangelical Publishers for several years. After a year at Canadian Bible College, she married James Lawrance and a month later moved to Lamont, Alberta. Ruth served her Lord Jesus Christ as a pastor's wife with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for over 50 years in Lamont; Thunder Bay, Ontario; Brandon, Manitoba; Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan; Savage, MT; Boise, ID; and Wetaskiwin, Alberta.

Upon retirement they returned to Savage and filled interim pastoral positions in the area. In 2007 they moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where she lived in her condo until almost age 97. Her peaceful nature was the result of her complete confidence in God's presence each day. Visiting her was always a joy.

Ruth was preceded by her beloved husband James in 2008; her parents Tom and Margaret Davidson; her sister Jean and brother-in-law Jim Kennedy; her sister Grace and brother-in-law Cliff Taylor; her sister-in-law Marjorie and brother-in-law Michael Matthew and her sister-in-law Sylvia Lawrance.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Carolyn (Brian) Armstrong, Regina, Saskatchewan, Sharon (Michael) Cowan, East Carbon, UT, and David (Tracy) Lawrance of Savage, MT; grandchildren: Jonathan Armstrong, Craig (Jennifer) Armstrong, Shannon (Luke) Braun, Melissa (Matthew) Maestas, Shane (Delaney) Cowan, Rachelle (Daniel) Sparks, Derek (Angie) Lawrance and Daniel (Katherine) Lawrance; 25 great grandchildren; brother- in- law Andrew Lawrance, Cambridge, Ontario and many well-loved nephews and nieces.

Thank you to Dr. Kriek, Dr. Bouwer and Bethel Manor for their care of our precious mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Great Commission Fund at cmalliance.org.
