The MonDak Heritage Center is proud to present the 42nd Annual Quilt & Needlework Show, which opened on Aug. 30 and runs through Oct. 7. This colorful exhibit features dozens of quilts and needlework from local and regional quilters, crafters, and artists.
Come enjoy the fine detail and intricate design of each piece. Then have your voice heard as you vote for your favorites. The top three quilters in the People's Choice Awards will receive prizes, $50 for 1st Place, $30 for 2nd Place, and $20 for 3rd Place.
Join us on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for a Sewing Guild Community Service Day. At the Sewing Guild Service Day, those in attendance will be sewing pillowcases for local organizations such as Matthew House and Child Services. All those who sew and quilt are invited to attend and help with the project. The goal is to sew 80-100 pillowcases for those in need in our community. All materials and supplies will be provided by the Sewing Guild, just bring your sewing machine and join! Please come and participate in this worthwhile project.
