The annual Eastern Montana Out of the Darkness Community Walk for Suicide Prevention will be on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Veteran’s Memorial Park starting at 9 a.m.
“We will have kettle corn from Sunrise Kettle. Debbie’s Donuts will be there, as well as The Rush!,” said organizer Nick Kallem.
There will be many activities including raffle prizes, team photos and resource information from community partners such as All Nations Health Center, Project Tomorrow, Race for Autism, Winds of Change, Buckets of Love, Missoula Aging Services, A Life YOUnited, Shodair Children’s Hospital, Herd 2 Human, and Partnership Health Center.
There will also be a memorial board where you can write a message for a loved one.
To join the 6th annual Walk to Fight Suicide, you can pre-register online at afsp.org/easternmt.
On the 16th, registration starts at 9 a.m. and the opening ceremony will start at 10 a.m. The closing ceremony will be at 11:15 a.m., or when all walkers return.
The committee would like to thank those who participated in the lifesaver campaign at Reynolds Market.
