Sidney Ace Hardware Grand Opening & Board Cutting Ceremony Aug. 25-27

Just over three months from its soft opening, Sidney Ace Hardware will finally be holding its grand opening Aug. 25-27.

When Skip King, owner of King's Ace Hardware stores in Billings, Laurel, Lockwood, and Columbus opened his new store in Sidney they were not yet fully staffed and stocked. He and his manager Reece Gairrett planned to wait until August so that the store inventory and staff would be fully ready. Special Events Coordinator, Jack Dobbins said, "They picked the weekend of the 25th because they wanted to do it after the fair but still get it done before the end of the summer and wanted to make sure everyone was ready."

Sidney Ace Hardware opens at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Every morning of the grand opening there will be complementary coffee and donuts available. The first 150 customers on Friday will receive a Sidney Ace Hardware baseball cap. At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, Gairrett will be doing a board cutting in front of the store. It is like the more common "ribbon-cutting" but with a hardware store twist. The eight-foot board will have "Grand Opening for Sidney Ace Hardware" printed on it. On Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., the Boys & Girls Clubs of the MonDak Richland Unit will be serving BBQ hamburgers, chips, and soda in front of the store for a freewill donation. All donations will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the MonDak. Batman and his batmobile will be making an appearance from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, as well. There will also be storewide sales throughout the weekend.

As a recent local commercial stated, the public is welcome to attend the board cutting ceremony. Dobbins said, "We at Sidney Ace Hardware are excited to be part of the community and provide excellent customer service with the help of our valued staff." Sidney Ace Hardware is located at 500 N. Central Ave. in The Shoppes at Fox Run.
