Kenneth was born the youngest of three children to Philip and Lydia (Strasheim) Scheetz on July 14, 1943, Sidney, MT. He attended Rau Elementary School and Sidney Schools until the 10th grade when he decided to join the Army reserves. On Nov. 14, 1965, he married Gail Groshart. They resided south of Sidney and had five children: Gary, Michael, Pamela, Tamara, and Roberta. In February 2005, Gail passed away. On Oct. 27, 2007, Kenny married Shirley Dean. Four more boys were added to the family with this marriage: Dennis, Robert, Steven and Jesse. One of his great joys was his large family. Kenny and Shirley shared their lives together south of Sidney in his childhood home until his passing.
Throughout his life he worked for Vic Lorenz as a farm hand, after that he rented a farm, and farmed on his own for two years. He then moved to Billings and started his truck driving career. Billings was a short stay and he moved back to Sidney where he has resided ever since. He worked for Cenex, Texaco, and Real Trucking. He retired in 2007.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking. He enjoyed taking his grandkids for rides on his golf cart and looking at the fields. He always made time for his grandkids when they came to visit. He looked forward to his time with his family and friends when they stopped to visit. One of his greatest pastimes was spending time in his workshop creating yard art.
