Aug. 20: “Plein Air on the Prairie,” Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center, 12-2 p.m. Bring your art supplies and join members of the Williston Area Visual Artists for Plein Air painting.
Aug. 27: History and Nature Lecture Series, Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center, 2 p.m. Join artist and art history enthusiast Jessica Newman, Long X Arts Foundation, for “Artist George Catlin and the Visual History of Tribal Cultures”. Learn how Catlin invented his own genre and himself as a “new kind of artist”, one that cemented his reign as the premier visual chronicler of Native American life and culture.

Fort Buford is open daily 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is open daily 9 a.m.-6 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 4.
