After 13 years at its location on northwest 3rd Ave. across from Sidney-Richland Library, Sunrise Women's Clinic is about to move.
Since 2010 Sunrise Women's Clinic has been helping women with pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, pregnancy support, educational classes, a baby boutique, post-abortion support, miscarriage, and stillborn support. All their services are free and confidential. After years of providing services and growing along the town of Sidney, Sunrise Women's Clinic has outgrown its facility.
Because of a generous grant from the Gianforte Foundation, the forward-thinking of directors in the past in the form of a savings account, and the future sale of the 3rd Ave. building, the clinic was able to purchase a large house at 203 14th St. on the truck route right across from Margie's Car Wash in June. They had been looking for about a year and a half before they found the house. The building needed some renovations on the rooms dubbed for medical rooms, as well as some flooring changes. Several surfaces were repainted. They plan on moving into the new facility in the fall.
Once there, Sunrise Women's Clinic will be expanding its services to include more family resources. They also want to have a men's group and add a few hands-on classes for things like cooking, minor repairs, and CPR classes. Above all, they will finally have much-needed space for storing the generous donations they have received from the community.
Sunrise Women's Clinic will have a Grand Opening after the new facility is opened. While the address and phone number will change, the clinic's website and social media pages will stay the same. Sunrise Women's Clinic is and will still take donations of new and like-new baby and toddler clothing, diapers, cribs, blankets, and other baby items.
