Montana's First Lady Susan Gianforte Visits Boys & Girls Club Of The MonDak

On June 27, Montana's first lady Susan Gianforte came to the Boys & Girls Club of the MonDak to thank the staff for sponsoring all of Richland County children 0-5 with the Imagination Library.

She discussed a little of the history of the Imagination Library in Montana and why she feels so passionate about the program. Before Gianforte took this program on as a personal mission the project started by Dolly Parton in 1995 was available in Montana but not in very many places. She claimed that her goal is to make the program available to all children 0-5 in the state of Montana. After speaking with the staff, Gianforte stood with staff and a Dolly Parton cutout for pictures and shot a promotional video.

National Boys & Girls Club Week was from June 26-30 this year. According to the National Boys & Girls Club website, it has been celebrated since 1941 to recognize the invaluable service the Boys & Girls Clubs bring to communities.
