Patsy LaVyrne Knels, 78, Fairview, MT, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at St. Vincent Healthcare, Billings, MT. She was born on Sept. 27, 1944, Great Falls, MT, to Ida LaVyrne and Walter William Stordahl. She attended Irvington Elementary School.
Patsy married Larry Knels in 1961 and together they had three sons and one daughter. They were later divorced. After her divorce, she moved to Seattle, WA, where she worked as head designer at Quest Floral Shop in Seattle, managed My Tops Place, drove bus, managed an apartment building and worked at the Seattle Center Opera House. She moved back to Fairview in 1995 and married Larry Davidson in 1999. He passed away soon after the marriage and Patsy continued to live in Fairview.
A commercial garden on the farm kept Patsy very busy but she loved gardening, big or small. She was also a member of Jaycees. She loved teaching others how to do floral arrangements and ceramics and taught at Highline Community College the fall of 1989. She also enjoyed bowling, crocheting, cooking and baking as well as creating her bead art work for family and friends. Patsy truly enjoyed going to the river and fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Patsy was predeceased by her parents Ida and Walter Stordahl, brother DeWayne Stordahl, son John William Knels and grandson Cody Duane Knels.
She is survived by sons Donald Raymond Knels, Fairview, MT; and David Patrick Knels, Seattle, WA; daughter Julie Ann (Knels) Klein, Fairview, MT; brother Ronald "Ron" (Jil) Stordahl; Seattle, WA; grandchildren Krista Hunter, Joshua Knels, Sean (Karen) Knels, Chris Knels (Hunter Vondhal), Sara (Tyler) Wacha, Mercedes Klein, Jason Jr. (Rikki) Klein; great grandchildren Emily and Kaylee Johnson; Isabella and Luke Wacha; Bexlie Klein; Mia, Steely, Beau, Milly, McCoy and Theo Knels; and Ashlynn Standford.
Family services for Patsy will be held at a later date.
